FiddleSticks LLC ("FiddleSticks," "we," "us") is a laser-engraving studio in Hiawatha, Iowa. This policy covers this website, www.fiddlestickscr.com. Our online store at store.fiddlestickscr.com handles ordering and payment and has its own privacy policy, which applies when you shop there.
The short version
- We collect what you type into our contact form, and nothing else on purpose.
- We use it to answer you and quote your job. We do not sell it or share it for marketing.
- This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
- Email us and we will delete what we have.
What we collect
When you send the quote request form, we receive your name, email address, and the details you write. Your business name and phone number are optional. If you email or call us directly, we have whatever you send us that way.
Like every website, the servers that deliver these pages see your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. Our host keeps those logs for security and to keep the site running. We do not use them to identify or profile you.
How we use it
- To reply to you, write a quote, and send proofs.
- To make and deliver your order if you go ahead.
- To keep the business records the law requires, such as invoices for taxes.
We will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job described:
- Formspree receives the contact form and forwards it to our email. See the Formspree privacy policy.
- Microsoft Azure hosts this website. See the Microsoft privacy statement.
- Our email provider stores the messages we send and receive.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising pixels, or social media trackers. Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so loading a page does not send your information to Google or anyone else. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and project emails while we are working with you and for as long as we need them for business and tax records. After that we delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email ben@fiddlestickscr.com and we will take care of it. We may keep what we are legally required to, such as records of a completed sale.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can see it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
